Editorial policy

How we stay independent from the firms we cover, how we write and how we fix mistakes.

helloweekends decides what to publish about prop firms on its own. Firms do not review our pages before they go up, cannot pay for coverage and cannot have accurate information removed. Every rule, price and payout figure comes from an official page with a check date, and we say plainly what a prop firm evaluation is: a paid service in which you trade a simulated account.

Independence

  • The helloweekends Editors decide which firms we cover, which rules we explain and how lists are ordered.
  • We do not show firms our pages before publication and do not accept payment, free accounts or other benefits in exchange for coverage.
  • We cover a firm's rules, changes and closures whether or not the news is good for the firm.
  • helloweekends is not connected to any prop firm, broker, platform or trading educator we write about. If that ever changes, we will say so on the pages concerned.

Sourcing

A rule, price or payout term is published only with a link to the firm's own page and the date we checked it. Every figure on a page comes from our catalog of firms, where each fact is tied to its official source and check date; a figure without one is left out. Registration facts come only from NFA and CFTC records. Market hours come only from CME Group. Tax pages give general information with links to the IRS. The full rules are in our methodology.

How we write

  • Short sentences and plain words. We explain each trading term the first time it appears.
  • We call an evaluation what it is: a paid service with simulated trading. Passing it is not the same as being hired as a trader.
  • We never promise income, a pass or a payout, and we do not coach anyone on how to trade profitably.
  • Every page that discusses buying an evaluation reminds readers that most participants do not pass, that firms change rules and close, and that nothing here is investment advice.
  • We do not invent ratings, experts or testing, and we do not present reviews as facts.

Paid content

We carry no advertising and no affiliate links today. If that changes, paid content will be labelled and kept separate from our own pages, as set out in the sponsored content and affiliate policy.

Updates and corrections

Each page shows when it was last updated. When we find or are told about a mistake, we correct it and add a dated note at the end of the page explaining what changed. A change made by a firm is not a correction: it goes in the rule change log. To report an error, use the corrections page.

Questions

Do prop firms see pages before they are published?

No. Firms can report errors like any reader, and we correct a page only when the firm's official pages show it is wrong.

Can a firm pay to change what a page says?

No. Rules, prices, payout terms, a firm's status and the change log are never for sale, and we do not remove accurate information on request.

Where do the rules and prices come from?

From each firm's own rules pages and help center, with the date we checked them. Registration comes from NFA and CFTC records, and market hours from CME Group.
