CME Group said on September 22, 2026 that it plans to list Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures on October 19, pending regulatory review. Each comes in a standard and a micro size, and both will trade on CME Globex, where crypto futures have run around the clock since May 29. Prop firm traders can use them only if their firm adds them to its product list.

What CME announced

The two contracts extend CME’s single-asset crypto line, which already covers Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui, according to CME Group’s announcement. CME says the five altcoin futures it added in 2026 have traded more than $1 billion in notional value this year. Across its crypto complex, futures and options averaged 279,800 contracts a day in the first half of 2026, the exchange says.

The contracts are cash-settled against CME CF reference rates, so no coins change hands at expiry, as CryptoTimes reported from CME’s notice.

The four contracts

Contract Size
Bitcoin Cash futures 250 BCH
Micro Bitcoin Cash futures 25 BCH
Uniswap futures 10,000 UNI
Micro Uniswap futures 1,000 UNI

Sizes as reported by Decrypt and CryptoTimes from CME’s announcement. Globex codes and tick values were not in the reports we read; check CME’s contract specifications before trading.

Trading hours: open on weekends

CME moved all its cryptocurrency futures to 24/7 trading on CME Globex from May 29, 2026, per its filing with the CFTC. The only breaks are short maintenance windows, including Saturday 2:00 to 4:00 a.m. CT. Equity index, energy and metals futures still close from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening; see futures market hours.

What it means for evaluation and funded accounts

Nothing changes automatically. An evaluation is a paid service traded in simulation, and the firm decides which contracts its platform carries, how many you may hold and whether you may hold them overnight. Most firms we track require you to be flat before the daily close, so a 24/7 market does not mean you can hold a position through the weekend. The rule is on each firm’s page and in weekend holding. CME’s announcement names no prop firm, and none of the firms listed on this site had said by September 28 that it would add BCH or UNI futures.

What to check before October 19

  • Your firm’s list of permitted products, and whether it counts a micro crypto contract like a micro equity contract.
  • Your firm’s close time and whether it allows holding past it.
  • The launch date itself: CME describes it as pending regulatory review, and it can move.
