Lucid Trading now asks LucidFlex buyers to pick one setting at purchase: Daily Loss Limit On or Off. Lucid’s customization article, dated August 5, 2026, says DLL On costs less and enforces the limit on the evaluation and the funded account, while DLL Off costs more and applies no daily cap in either phase. The setting is fixed once the account is active.
What changed
A Lucid evaluation is a paid service with simulated trading: the buyer pays for a test account and, on passing, trades a funded account under the firm’s rules. On LucidFlex, the firm says the buyer now customizes one of those rules at checkout. The daily loss limit, the most a trader may lose in a single session, is either switched on for both phases at a lower purchase price, or switched off for both phases at a higher one, according to the help center.
Where the limit is on, Lucid treats it as a soft breach: hitting it locks the trader out until the next session rather than closing the account.
The two checkout setups
| DLL On | DLL Off | |
|---|---|---|
| Daily loss limit | Enforced in evaluation and funded phase | None in either phase |
| Purchase price | Lower | Higher |
| Change after purchase | Not on an active account | Not on an active account |
Lucid states the lock plainly: “Once selected, these settings cannot be changed for an active account.” A trader who wants the other setup has to buy a new account.
How it carries into the funded account
The choice follows the account past the evaluation. Lucid’s LucidFlex funded account page lists the daily loss limit as optional there, with no consistency rule (no cap on how much of the total profit one day may produce) and no payout buffer. The firm gives the split as 90/10 in the trader’s favor, an end-of-day trailing drawdown that updates on the session’s closing balance rather than tick by tick, and account sizes from $25K to $150K.
LucidPro coverage
Prop Trading Vibes reports that the same optional daily loss limit applies to LucidPro and LucidDaily. Lucid’s own customization article cited here covers LucidFlex, so the LucidPro part is unconfirmed by the firm.
What traders should check
The price on the checkout page now depends on the risk setup, so the same account size carries two prices. Before the first trade, confirm which setting is attached to the account, since Lucid will not switch it later. Traders who keep positions through slow sessions should also weigh the DLL On lockout, which ends the trading day at the limit and resumes the next session.
