Prop firms with no daily loss limit let you keep trading after a large loss in one session, as long as you stay above the maximum loss. Among the 12 futures firms we track, Phidias and Take Profit Trader have no daily loss limit on any plan. Six firms have none on some plans, and Lucid Trading and Topstep let you choose when you buy.

How this list is ordered

  • Included: firms with at least one plan that has no daily loss limit, or where the limit is optional.
  • Order: by how widely the rule applies: no limit on any plan first, then no limit on some plans, then optional. Alphabetical within each group.
  • Not included: Earn2Trade, which has a daily loss limit on every plan ($1,100 on the Gauntlet Mini 50K), and The5ers Futures (see below).

No firm paid to appear on this list or for its position.

Soft and hard limits

A daily loss limit (DLL) caps how much you can lose in one trading session. A soft limit stops trading for the rest of the session and the account stays open. A hard limit fails the account. Every firm here whose pages explain its DLL treats it as soft. The maximum loss limit is different: touching it is a hard breach and ends the account, with or without a daily limit. Notes by group

No limit on any plan

Phidias's rules page lists "Daily Loss Limit: None" for all three account families. An older Phidias education page mentions daily loss limits; it predates the current rules, which we follow. Take Profit Trader lists no daily loss limit; its Test still has a trailing maximum loss of $2,000 at 50K.

No limit on some plans

At Bulenox, Option 1 trades without a daily limit but uses an intraday trailing drawdown; Option 2 uses an end-of-day drawdown with a daily limit that pauses the day. On Fast Track, the Option 2 limit is never lifted. At Tradeify, a funded account's daily limit rises to the size of the drawdown once you reach 6% profit; since September 12, 2025 it is raised rather than removed. MyFundedFutures' payout policy says Builder has no daily loss limit, but its Builder help articles show a $1,000 soft pause at 50K.

Optional limit

Lucid and Topstep ask you to decide at purchase, and the choice cannot be changed later. Both make the version with a limit cheaper: at Lucid the DLL-on version costs less, and at Topstep adding it lowers the No Activation Fee price by $10 a month at 50K ($85 instead of $95).

Why The5ers is not listed

The5ers does not state a daily limit for its 25K and 50K accounts, and lists a 2.5% daily drawdown on 100K and 150K. Its general rules page also labels the 4% maximum loss as "maximum daily loss", so we could not confirm how it works.

For all rules side by side, see the futures prop firms comparison, and for how the maximum loss moves, prop firms with end of day drawdown.

Know the riskA prop firm evaluation is a paid service with simulated trading. Without a daily limit, one bad session can take the account to its maximum loss. Most people who buy an evaluation do not pass it, and firms change their rules and close. Not investment advice.

Questions

Which prop firms have no daily loss limit?

Phidias and Take Profit Trader have none on any plan. Alpha Futures, Apex Trader Funding, Bulenox, FundedNext Futures, MyFundedFutures and Tradeify have none on some plans, and Lucid Trading and Topstep make it optional.

What is the difference between a soft and a hard loss limit?

A soft limit stops trading for the rest of the session and the account stays open. A hard limit, such as the maximum loss, fails the account.

Does no daily loss limit mean no loss limit at all?

No. Every plan still has a maximum loss. At Take Profit Trader it is $2,000 at 50K, and at Phidias Fundamental 50K it is $2,500.

Is a plan with a daily loss limit cheaper?

At Lucid Trading and Topstep, yes: the version with a daily loss limit costs less. At Topstep the 50K No Activation Fee Path is $85 a month with it and $95 without.
