Apex vs Tradeify is a choice between two one-time fee models. Apex gives you 30 days to pass, no resets, a choice of end-of-day or intraday drawdown, and 100% of up to six capped payouts per account. Tradeify sells resets, has no time limit, uses an end-of-day drawdown on every plan and pays 90/10 with no fixed number of payouts. Both are paid evaluations traded in simulation.

Cost: a 30-day clock or resets
Both firms charge once, with no monthly bill. The difference is what happens when an attempt goes wrong. An Apex evaluation runs 30 calendar days, weekends included, and expires at 6 p.m. ET on day 30. If it fails or runs out, you buy a new one; Apex sells no resets and no extensions. A Tradeify evaluation has no expiry date, and a failed one can be reset at a lower price than a new account, up to 10 times in 30 days (a Growth 50K costs $145 and its reset $95). Tradeify charges no activation fee on any plan; at Apex the fee depends on whether you buy a Standard or a No Activation Fee evaluation. The evaluation cost calculator works through several attempts.
Drawdown and daily limits
Tradeify uses one model: the drawdown trails your end-of-day balance, so an open loss during the session does not move the floor, though touching it fails the account at once. Apex lets you choose at purchase. Its EOD evaluation works the same way and adds a $1,000 daily loss limit that pauses the session. Its intraday evaluation trails your highest balance in real time, open profit included, with no daily loss limit. On both firms' 50K funded accounts the floor stops at $50,100. The mechanics are in EOD vs intraday drawdown and daily loss limit prop firm.
Once funded, Apex sets your contract limit and daily loss limit each day from your closing balance. A 50K PA starts at 2 contracts and a $1,000 limit, moves to 3 contracts at $1,500 of profit, and to 4 contracts and a $2,000 limit at $3,000. A Tradeify Select funded account starts at 2 minis or 20 micros and scales to 4 or 40; Select Flex has no daily loss limit, Select Daily has $1,000.
Consistency: before or after passing
The firms put the rule on opposite sides of the pass. Apex has none in the evaluation, so one day can pass it, but every PA payout needs your best day under 50% of the profit since the last payout. Tradeify Select applies 40% to pass and drops the rule once funded. Tradeify Growth works like Apex, with 35% on each payout. See the prop firm consistency rule page.
Payouts: 100% of six, or 90% of many
Apex pays 100% of each approved PA payout. Each of the six payouts has a cap that rises from $1,500 to $3,000 on a 50K account, only profit above the $52,100 safety net can be requested, and the PA closes after the sixth payout. The six caps add up to $13,000. Tradeify keeps 10% of every payout but sets no payout count on the funded account. Select Flex pays up to half your total profit after every five winning days, capped at $2,500 per request. Select Daily lets you request any day above the buffer, up to twice the profit since your last request and $1,250. Tradeify lowered the Select Flex caps for accounts bought after September 1, 2026; that change is covered in our news report.
Worked example: $3,000 of profit on a 50K funded account
- Apex, first payout on an EOD PA. Your balance is $53,000, above the $52,600 needed to request. Only profit above the $52,100 safety net counts, so you can request up to $900, after five days of $250 or more and with no day of $1,500 or more. At 100% you receive $900.
- Tradeify Select Flex. After five winning days of $150 or more you can request 50% of the $3,000, which is $1,500, below the $2,500 cap. At 90/10 you receive $1,350.
- Tradeify Select Daily. Your balance is $900 above the $52,100 buffer level, so $900 is the most you can request, below the $1,250 cap. At 90/10 you receive $810.

Rules that trip traders up
- The Apex clock. Access counts calendar days from purchase, so a 30-day evaluation bought before a long weekend has fewer trading sessions.
- Seven days to activate. After passing at Apex you have seven calendar days to activate the PA; miss it and you need a new evaluation.
- Short trades at Tradeify. On funded accounts, more than half your trades and more than half your profit must come from trades held longer than 10 seconds, or you cannot request a payout.
- Select is a one-way choice. Once you pick Flex or Daily after passing, you cannot switch on that account.
Who each firm suits
- Apex fits a trader who wants to pass fast with no consistency rule, wants a choice of drawdown model, runs many accounts at once and values keeping 100% of each payout. The trade-offs: a 30-day limit with no resets, a 50% rule on every payout and a PA that closes after six payouts.
- Tradeify fits a trader who wants time and resets, no activation fee and a choice of payout style after passing, from small daily requests to larger ones every five winning days. The trade-offs: a 10% share, a consistency rule to pass Select, a 10-second holding rule on funded accounts and an earlier close.
Firm by firm, the full rules are on Apex Trader Funding rules, Apex payout rules, Tradeify rules and Tradeify payout rules. Changes to either firm are logged in the rule change log; see also Apex vs Topstep, Tradeify vs Lucid and prop firms with daily payouts.
Know the riskBoth firms sell paid evaluations traded in simulation. Most people who buy one do not pass, payouts come from each firm's own funds under its terms, and firms change rules, pause payouts and close. Not investment advice.
Questions
Is Apex or Tradeify cheaper?
Both charge a one-time fee. Tradeify's 50K Select costs $165 and Growth $145, with no activation fee and cheaper resets if you fail. Apex charges once for 30 days of access with no resets, so every failed or expired attempt is a new purchase, and its Standard evaluations add an activation fee after passing.
Which has the better profit split?
Apex pays 100% of approved PA payouts, capped per payout, and closes the PA after six. Tradeify pays 90/10 on every funded account with no fixed number of payouts.
Do Apex and Tradeify use the same drawdown?
Tradeify uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown on every plan. Apex offers end-of-day or intraday trailing, chosen when you buy. On 50K funded accounts at both firms the floor stops at $50,100.
Can you hold trades overnight at Apex or Tradeify?
No. Apex accounts must be flat by 4:59 p.m. ET and Tradeify accounts by 4:45 p.m. ET.
Which firm lets you pass faster?
Apex has no minimum days and no consistency rule in the evaluation, so it can be passed in one day; so can Tradeify Growth. Tradeify Select needs three days, or two with the 50% add-on.
