Apex Trader Funding

Apex Trader Funding is a US futures prop firm run by Apex Trader Funding, Inc., a Texas corporation headquartered in Austin. It sells evaluations: paid tests traded on a simulated account. Since March 1, 2026 each evaluation is a one-time purchase with 30 days of access, and you choose an end-of-day or an intraday trailing drawdown. Pass it and you trade a simulated Performance Account (PA) that pays 100% of approved payouts.

Plans at a glance

• Intraday Trail and EOD Trail evaluations: 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K; one-time fee, 30 days of access, no resets. Only the EOD version has a daily loss limit.
• Standard or No Activation Fee: each evaluation comes in both versions. Standard charges an activation fee within 7 days of passing.
• Lowest confirmed price: $199 list for the 25K Intraday Trail Standard evaluation, plus a $69 activation fee. Other prices load at checkout and are not confirmed.
• Apex Live: an invitation-only live program with a 90/10 split.

Key rules

• Drawdown: EOD or intraday trailing, chosen at purchase ($2,000 on 50K). The EOD floor is set at 4:59:59 p.m. ET and enforced during the day. See EOD vs intraday drawdown.
• Daily loss limit: none on Intraday evaluations; $1,000 on the 50K EOD evaluation, which pauses the day rather than failing it; tiered on PAs. See daily loss limit prop firm.
• Consistency: none in the evaluation. For a PA payout, your largest day must stay under 50% of profit since the last payout. See prop firm consistency rule.
• Weekend holding: not allowed; positions may not be held through the 4:59 p.m. ET close. See prop firm weekend holding.
• News trading: allowed; two-sided news orders and hedging are banned. See prop firm news trading rules.
• Activation fee: $69 on the 25K Intraday Standard; none on No Activation Fee versions. See prop firm activation fee.
• Minimum days: none; an evaluation can pass in one day.

Payouts

You can request a PA payout after every 5 qualifying days that meet a minimum daily profit ($100 to $350 by size and type). Each request needs at least $500, the 50% check and a balance at or above the safety net plus $500 ($52,600 on 50K). A PA closes after its sixth payout. Platforms, status and US clients

• Platforms: Rithmic, Tradovate, NinjaTrader (Apex says a free license is included), TradingView through Tradovate, and WealthCharts. Quantower is not confirmed.
• Status: active on September 26, 2026.
• US clients: accepted. The United States is not on the restricted countries list, and US residents are paid by ACH.
• Registration: not yet checked on the NFA BASIC register.

Recent rule changes

All took effect on March 1, 2026, for new accounts; older accounts keep their rules.

• Billing: monthly subscriptions became a one-time fee with 30 days of access.
• Drawdown: EOD or intraday trailing became a choice.
• Payout consistency: the 30% rule became a 50% rule.
• Profit split: 100% of the first $25,000, then 90%, became 100%.
• Payout caps: each PA now allows 6 capped payouts, then closes.
