This futures prop firm comparison puts 12 firms side by side on the rules that shape an evaluation: drawdown, daily loss limit, consistency, weekend holding, news trading, fees, profit split and payouts. An evaluation is a paid test on a simulated account. Every fact comes from the firm's own pages, checked on September 26, 2026. Firms are in alphabetical order, and no firm paid to appear here.

How to read the table

  • Drawdown is how far your balance may fall before the account fails. With an end-of-day trailing drawdown, the limit moves up with your highest closing balance. With an intraday trailing drawdown, it also moves with open profits. A static drawdown does not move.
  • Daily loss limit is the most you may lose in one day. At most of these firms, hitting it pauses trading until the next session instead of failing the account.
  • Consistency rule caps how much of your profit may come from a single day.
  • Activation fee is a one-time fee some firms charge after you pass, before the funded account starts.
  • Profit split is the share of each payout you keep. Payout cadence is how often you can ask for one.
  • Varies by plan means the firm's plans differ. The last row links to each firm's rules and payouts pages with the detail.

More on each rule: trailing drawdown, eod vs intraday drawdown, daily loss limit prop firm rules, prop firm consistency rule, prop firm weekend holding, prop firm news trading rules and prop firm activation fee.

Notes on the data

Where a firm's official pages disagree, the table uses the newer or more specific page. The conflicts that touch the table:

  • Topstep: one help article sets the evaluation consistency target at 55% of profit; other official pages still say 50%.
  • Apex Trader Funding: one payout article still describes the older 8-day payout cycle; the payout pages for current accounts say 5 qualifying days.
  • MyFundedFutures: the help center says new evaluations are one-time payments from August 25, 2026, but some plan pages still show monthly prices. Its payout policy says Builder has no daily loss limit, while Builder help articles show one.
  • FundedNext Futures: the Flex page and rules give a 95% profit share; one withdrawal article says 80%.
  • Tradeify: the help center says Lightning payouts have no minimum trading days; a Tradeify blog post describes a 5-day cycle.
  • Alpha Futures: the current platforms article lists AlphaTrader, WealthCharts, Deepchart and Quantower, with TradingView through AlphaTrader. Older Alpha posts also mention Tradovate and NinjaTrader.
  • Bulenox: the payout cadence comes from an older help page; the new homepage says payouts are available every day.
  • The5ers Futures: the payout cadence is from The5ers' general withdrawal FAQ, not a futures-only page.
  • Lowest confirmed price: where some of a firm's plans have no confirmed price, a lower price may exist. The evaluation cost calculator lists which plans are missing.

Know the riskA prop firm evaluation is a paid service with simulated trading. Most people who buy one do not pass it, and firms change their rules, pause payouts and close. Read each firm's current rules before you buy. Not investment advice.

Questions

How do I compare futures prop firms?

Start with the rules that can end an account: the drawdown type and the daily loss limit. Then check the full cost, including activation fees and monthly billing, and the payout rules. Tick two or three firms above the table to see them side by side.

Which futures prop firms allow weekend holding?

Of the 12 firms, only Phidias Propfirm allows it on some plans: its Premium accounts may hold positions overnight and over the week, according to its rules page. The other 11 do not allow positions over the weekend.

Which futures prop firms have no daily loss limit?

Phidias Propfirm and Take Profit Trader list no daily loss limit on any plan. At the other firms it depends on the plan, or a limit always applies.

Can a firm pay to appear in this comparison?

No. No firm paid to appear here. Firms are listed in alphabetical order, and every fact comes from the firm's own pages.

How current is this futures prop firm comparison?

The rules were checked on September 26, 2026. Firms change their rules often; dated changes are in the prop firm rule changes log.
